TV talk show host, Dr. Phil McGraw is canceling his upcoming Britney Spears special.
First Britney's parents, Jamie and Lynn pulled out of the taping and now Phil is canning the whole debacle.
The show was supposed to focus "not on the troubled singer's tabloid issues but instead the very serious issues surrounding the case." Dr. Phil told Entertainment Tonight; "Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers and we ask that they be in yours."
I'm thinking maybe the negative press he was getting was weighing a bit too heavy on the Dr's head. Either way, I'm glad the televised intervention isn't happening. Sometimes even a giant pay-check isn't worth the grief.
