Holy crap. While mostly people were home sleeping, there was once
again, a big dramatic episode involving Britney Spears. Let's break it
down.
Around 1am Thursday morning, police and paramedics arrived at Britney's Studio City home and took her to UCLA Medical Center for a psychiatric hold. Again. Spears is currently on a 72 hour emergency hold known as a 5150.
What sparked the trip back to the hospital? Well apparently it had been coming for quite some time, and that police were actually planning on coming to get Spears the night before. Over the police radio, they called Brit "the package." Crazy.
It all started when Britney's new psychiatrist called the police after witnessing the singer's deteriorating condition due to the fact that Britney has not been taking her meds and hasn't slept in 3 days.
Britney went willingly this time to the hospital, not causing a fuss, just quietly accepting it. She arrived at the hospital around 1:30am, her mother Lynne following behind the giant motorcade of police and emergency vehicles. And get this, Adnan rode along in the car with mom!
But things started to get tense at the hospital when Britney's parents began arguing with Sam Lutfi about who has control over Britney's medical decisions.
It looks like as of right now, the doctor's at UCLA are cooperating with Britney's parents and not Lutfi. But I'm sure it will all come down to a judge's decision on who gets control over the troubled singer.
Who should have control over Britney? Her crazy parents or her crazy "manager?"
We just hope this event sets the wheels of help into motion. Finally!

Of course her parents will get to make any legal decisions--they are her next of kin. Unless she has secretly married Sam or something, he will not have a say.
