Yeah, the kissing is old news, but it happened so infrequently that it's still such a treat to see!

And I think people are reacting so much because not only is it MSR, the uber-UST ship, but the kiss guarantees that the movie's going to be at least an eensy bit schmoopy, which will be enough to satisfy the fence-shippers, though the hardcore shippers are probably all like "UM. PLZ TO BE MAKIN OUT NOW THX."

ummm... haven't they kissed quite a few times by now, i mean they do have a kid together and im pretty sure it was concieved the old fashioned way. the series ended with them kissing as they're fleeing into hiding from the government forces. when is this movie supposed to take place, anyways?

I'm confused... haven't they kissed before? And even though I still don't know how that baby came up to be, didn't they actually consider playing house and called her baby theirs?

Seemed to me in the last season they would have been a normal couple if he didn't have to hide, so... is this really something that new?

To be fair, after season 6, I stoped watching it regularly, so I may have gotten it all wrong.

FYI - they've kissed before (REPEATEDLY). Plus, they also had a child through natural means (that was a prudish way of saying 'they eff'd')

On that subject, when I used to watch the show I was so against having them together romantically because their chemistry as friends and partners was so perfect. But if you think about it, after 9 years (and I think Scully made note of this) you spend so much time with someone, they eventually turn out to be the only person you can see yourself with... or something like that. So in the end, it actually did make sense they end up together.

Well, it's obvious that after they had to run from the f.b.i. they are a couple now. If they wouldn’t kiss it would be odd. And something really bad seems to has happened, for Scully looks angry and disappointed...and Mulder is injured...probably after a war of roses??...to be continued. :-) ...
This could be another of Carter's tricks to keep us interested, for such a scene would be well protected by the producers not to be revealed so quickly (if it's crucial). But on the other hand...at least there could be a similar scene in the film.
As I said before, they are a couple - a relationship with swings and what's hard to faith now is that they could't blame the f.b.i. ...hmmm - but maybe the monster...

I agree that these pictures and video bring on a combination of happy and nervous feelings. I love seeing Mulder and Scully together and it's obviously going to be an interesting scene...but then I think of Chris Carter making this the last scene and I start to get all nervous...what if it is? We'd have to wait for a conlclusion...as if waiting 6 years for this movie isn't enough (ahhh!!!) The show hasn't been on since 2002 and Chris Carter is still driving us insane!!! ...counting down the days...

If this had happened before season 8 and 9, I would be really excited by this. Unfortunately the
bad writing and acting ended my love of the series. The disrepectful attitude towards the fans,
was shown by Chris and Frank, was the breaking point.
Will I pay $10 to go see this movie? Nope. I 'll wait for it to come out on the rental market.
I know lots of x files fans, who are doing the same thing as I am. They are not going to shell out
$10 to see it in the theater.
It's really sad to see just how far this show has fallen, because Gillian and David are a wonderful
team together.

I love X-Files and Mulder and Scully and I can't wait to see them in the big screen again!!!!!!

It is exiting to see them kiss because the movie is not about the main story arc. It is a stand alone. So Chris Carter has the option of leaving out the shipper component. I can't imagine he would piss off the loyal shippers but he sure does like to play with our heads. He found the balance between overly romantic and purely platonic in the show so lets hope he does it here too........July is so far away :(

I've been missing Mulder and Scully so much!!! They've been a part of my life since I was 12, and in several days I'll be 22! They meen so much for me, just like close relatives, old friends. sorry guys but that scene was staged. if you google xfiles sequel staged scene you will find the article on it. both david and chris have admitted it. they did it because of all the paparazzi hanging around. if this were a real scene why doesnt gillian look like she cares? if you look at the 7th pic down u can see the look on her face. if they were actually doing the scene, it appears to be an emotional one, why isnt she showing any? i thought that pic was odd before i found out it was staged. after i read that it made more sense. i'm kinda glad its fake, i'm tired of chris messing with our heads. i cant wait to see the movie though. i didnt start watching xfiles til after the show was cancelled so i never got to see the 1st movie in theaters. ill be there on opening day this time. i didnt think this movie would ever be made,hope it was worth the wait. and i really hope doggett doesnt show up. i never liked the character or the actor. i would love if they could involve the lone gunmen though. maybe a dream sequence? i just hope they get a happier ending this time.

I don’t know if this scene was staged or not but either way I don’t believe this will be the end of the movie or the only intimate moment between Mulder and Scully. We still don’t know anything about the plot; we’ve only seen a few scenes that reveal nothing, they keep the best for the movie. I trust CC, Frank, David and Gillian that they’ll do the best they can. These people brought this amazing show to life and they all want this movie to be great. They said in Wondercon that the story is a classic X-Files monster of the week and that’s all I want: Mulder and Scully and a scary story. And I don’t think that they would risk Mulder and Scully’s relationship! CC said that they always had an intellectual romance like no other in tv and they’re back!!!!!
