One day after his 44th birthday, we spotted American
Gangster star Russell Crowe, 44, shopping in Beverly Hills with his wife, Danielle Spencer, 37.
The duo checked out a children's toy and clothing shop called Piccolino and walked around. The happy couple held hands a good five blocks before returning to their car.

Russell! OMG! WTF happened to you!!!!! He looks like Mickey Rourke! And not in a good way. Plus he got SO fat. I hope the fat is just temporary for some movie role. He looks at least ten or fifteen years older then he really is. And his hair is all greasy and long. Really gross. He looks like he doesn't bathe. Poor Danielle. She must really love him. She put up with all his mess and his drinking and his terrible temper for years. They finally get married. Once again, she puts up with his terrible temper and his drinking ...for years. He turns into this huge porker. Ugh.

Both are wearing crosses. Russell had that one since Quick and the Dead, but I don't recall Dani wearing one much, certainly not together as a couple in pics.

You know, us people that know the facts are sick of having to defend Russell's looks, but here it goes again: He HAS gained the weight for 2 recent movie roles, he WILL lose it when the time is right: and it is no longer required for a movie role; He IS growing out his hair for his next movie role, and it is NOT dirty and greasy...he has it pulled back very tightly and smoothly, and when he takes it out of the hairtie it is the most georgous healthy shiney clean hair you have ever seen!! Actually his hair is much healthier than his wifes!! The man is georgous in person and not at all dirty or "gross"! Also, his life has mellowed terrifically with his marriage and the birth of his two beautiful sons. He is as down-to-earth and calm as can be now. So QUIT putting him down!!

Will Spencer ever do anything proactive where her over bleached unhealthy hair is concerned?
He has been growing his hair for Nottingham role. Keep in mind when you comment on his weight he has always changed his body according to the roles he accepts. His wife wears a childrens size 12 and everyone looks bigger next to her.
Those who say that Spencer has had to "put up" with Russell doesn't know the couple or worked for them. Spencer is very controlling and pouting, she just doesn't do it in front of the cameras. He gives her whatever she wants on demand. It works for them and they appear to be happy with the arrangement.

They look like 2 people walking down the street minding their own business.... not posing, not "on"....you know, like most of us. So some rude, ignorant, awful stalking paparazzi takes their photo and people start judging them. Get a Grip! I have seen both of them in person and they are incredibly attractive, warm, genuine people.

It makes me sad to read snide comments about Dani. She is, to me, the perfect wife for Russell, and she seems to be an attentive and loving Mother. One of the things that fascinates me about her (in these recent pictures) is: She has the smallest thighs that I've ever seen on a grown woman. We all know that she's very petite, but that area of the anatomy? Amazing!
